Due to the unpredictable nature of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) a number of area food pantries have suspended or modified operations temporarily. However, there are still pantries in the area that are operating as usual.

If you need assistance, you may call the River Valley Regional Food Bank at (479) 785-0582 to learn where to get food, or utilize the services of one our area pantry partners.

Here is a fluid list, broken down by city, of the agencies who have made changes to their services:

ALMA

Alma Southside Baptist Church: Suspending pantry and feeding programs until further notice.

CLARKSVILLE

River Valley Church of Christ: Suspending pantry program until further notice.

FORT SMITH

Antioch For Youth & Family: Suspending its normal pantry options, but have established a “drop and knock” process to distribute food to large low-income families without any means of transportation.

There is also an emergency assistance line for those in need. Call (479) 459-0669 to set up an appointment with Antioch. Appointments will be available to low-income families with three or more children without transportation and older adults, persons with disabilities or other individuals with access and fundamental needs. Appointment hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, but may be adjusted based upon need and availability of volunteers.

Faith United Methodist Church: Suspending pantry program until further notice.

Midland Heights United Methodist Church: Postponing hot meal and after-school snack service, but will continue to distribute food while supplies last. Call (479) 783-0118 for assistance.

Mission United Methodist Church: Suspending pantry program until further notice.

South Side Baptist Church: Will have a staggered distribution schedule. They are cancelling regular services the next two weeks and will resume distributions in April on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month (April 9 and April 23).

St. Scholastica Monastery: Suspending pantry program until further notice.

LAVACA

Lavaca Assembly of God: Suspending pantry program until further notice.

VAN BUREN

Cross Point Community Church of God: Now doing distributions by appointment only. Call (479) 474-3588 to schedule a pickup.

First Baptist Open Hand Ministries: Will do a drive-thru pantry only until further notice.

First Presbyterian Church: Farmer Food Pantry is suspended until further notice.

WALDRON

Waldron United Methodist Church: Suspending pantry program until further notice, but you may call (479) 637-6400 for emergency assistance.
