On Saturday\, May 9\, the National Association of Letter Carriers will host the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive\, collecting non-perishable food donations to support local food banks—including right here in our community. \nParticipating is simple: just leave a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox before your regular mail delivery\, and your letter carrier will pick it up and ensure it gets to those who need it most. \nYour donation will help provide meals for neighbors facing hunger and make a meaningful impact across our region. \nTogether\, we can help stamp out hunger—one donation at a time. 💛 \n📅 Date: Saturday\, May 9\n📍 Location: Your mailbox \nMost needed items include: canned meats\, vegetables\, fruits\, peanut butter\, pasta\, rice\, and cereal. \nThank you for supporting this incredible nationwide effort!

DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to share an important update about our May USDA distribution on May 20th\, 2026! To better serve our community and make the experience more comfortable for everyone\, we’re continuing our updated distribution process. \nWe will be using an appointment-style system. You do not need to schedule an appointment ahead of time. The process is similar to a deli-style system\, where you will take a number and wait to be called. This helps ensure families do not have to wait outside in extreme weather and can receive their food more efficiently and respectfully. \n📅 May 22nd\, 2026\n⏰ Distribution times: 8:30 AM–11:30 AM and 1:00 PM–3:30 PM \nHow the appointment system works:\n• Enter through the CSCDC Lobby area\n• Take a number and have a seat in the waiting area\n• RVRFB staff will call your number\n• Your USDA barcode will be scanned and ID checked\n• Food will be brought to the lobby for you to load \nOur goal is to continue serving our neighbors with dignity\, care\, and compassion—while improving the overall experience for everyone involved. \nPlease review these steps ahead of time and follow our page for any updates or reminders. \nUSDA is an equal opportunity provider\, employer\, and lender.
