DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, November 13th\, 40/29 (KHBS/KHOG) and The Arkansas CW encourage Northwest Arkansas and Arkansas River Valley residents to help feed our neighbors in need by donating to our 14th annual Turkey Drive. \n40/29\, The Arkansas CW and our turkey drive partners will be collecting turkeys at area Walmart Super Centers and Walmart Neighborhood Markets. \nBelow are the two primary drop-off locations: \n· Rogers – Walmart Super Center\, 4208 Pleasant Crossing Blvd. (6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) \n· Fort Smith – Walmart Super Center\, 8301 Rogers Avenue (6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) \nOur online donation site is available now for “early birds.” The donation links may be found on our websites\, 4029tv.com and arcwcrew.com. SUMMARY:Light of the World Giving Machine in Downtown Bentonville
DESCRIPTION:The Light the World Giving Machine is a unique red vending machine that provides a fun and memorable way for the public to give to those in need. \nRather than buying candy or snacks for oneself\, the Giving Machine allows people to purchase items for someone else- across town or around the world. After the payment process is complete\, a card representing the item drops into an enclosed display bin. The generous donor then leaves with a digital receipt and a feeling of joy and gratitude that no candy bar will ever equal. \nParticipating non-profit organizations receive 100% of every donation to purchase and deliver your selected items. All operating costs for the Light the World Giving Machine initiative are covered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Donors have the opportunity to cover credit card fees if they desire. Otherwise\, the Church will cover those fees. \nFrom November 19th to December 8th\, the River Valley Regional Food Bank will be a proud Charity Participant in the Giving Machine at Downtown Bentonville. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to share an important update about the C-SCDC’s November USDA distribution on November 20th\, 2026! To better serve our community and make the experience more comfortable for everyone\, we’re continuing our updated distribution process. \nWe will be using an appointment-style system. You do not need to schedule an appointment ahead of time. The process is similar to a deli-style system\, where you will take a number and wait to be called. This helps ensure families do not have to wait outside in extreme weather and can receive their food more efficiently and respectfully. \n📅 November 20th\, 2026\n⏰ Distribution times: 8:30 AM–11:30 AM and 1:00 PM–2:30 PM \nHow the appointment system works:\n• Enter through the CSCDC Lobby area\n• Take a number and have a seat in the waiting area\n• RVRFB& & CSCDC staff will call your number\n• Your USDA barcode will be scanned and your ID checked\n• Food will be brought to the lobby for you to load \nOur goal is to continue serving our neighbors with dignity\, care\, and compassion—while improving the overall experience for everyone involved. \nPlease review these steps ahead of time and follow our page for any updates or reminders. \nUSDA is an equal opportunity provider\, employer\, and lender.
